Find the postcodes where gigabit broadband falls short
Network planners and policy teams look for the places where gigabit coverage lags. This example filters the ONS broadband coverage layer to the postcodes in the Norwich, Peterborough and Ipswich areas where fewer than half of premises can get gigabit broadband.

Frequently asked questions
Is availability the same as take-up?
No. The source counts premises that can get gigabit broadband, not those that buy it.
Why does the map cover only three postcode areas?
Because the source layer does: it holds the NR, PE and IP postcode areas and one Cambridge postcode.
