Join a small team of map explorers in Tbilisi or remote.
GISOwl is a mapping platform built by a small team of engineers, product designers and geospatial people, in Tbilisi, Georgia or remote. We keep the team small on purpose, so each person owns real work from start to finish and sees it ship. We release improvements every week.
The work is public. The maps we make go into the gallery with their data and method, the data sources we find go into the Data Hub, and what we learn goes into Fieldnotes.
Open roles
To apply, send an email to hello@gisowl.com with your resume, LinkedIn or GitHub profile.
Junior GIS Analyst Make the public maps people find us by, and keep track of what is moving in geospatial: new open data, new tools, and how mapping products compare.
What you'll do
- Build new public maps for the gallery and the industry pages: pick a question, find the data, run the analysis in SQL, and publish the map with its sources and method.
- Find and test new open data sources: ArcGIS REST and OGC services, satellite imagery and STAC catalogues, OpenStreetMap and Overture vectors, and government open-data portals. Check each licence and write down what the source is good for.
- Follow trends in GIS and Earth observation: releases, formats and new datasets. Turn the ones that matter into notes for the team and posts for Fieldnotes.
- Compare products: run the same task in GISOwl and in other mapping tools, record what each does well and badly, and share it with the product team.
You might be a good fit if
- You studied or work in GIS, geography, remote sensing, planning or environmental science, or you taught yourself and can show maps you made.
- You have used QGIS or ArcGIS and written some SQL. PostGIS or Python is a plus, and you want to learn more of both.
- You would rather check where a dataset came from than trust it.
- You write clearly in English and can explain a map's method in a few sentences.
- You like finishing things: one published map beats ten that are almost done.
To apply, email hello@gisowl.com with your resume, LinkedIn or GitHub profile, and a link to a map you made if you have one.

Senior Product Marketing Manager Decide how GISOwl is explained to one group of buyers, from the first line on the website to the deck a salesperson opens on a call. You'll sit between product, sales and marketing, and most of your week goes into things people use: pages, demos, comparisons and launch material.
What you'll do
- Take one segment, such as utilities, city governments or environmental consultancies, and own its story: who buys, what problem they arrive with, and which map answers it.
- Write the pages, one-pagers, demo scripts and comparison sheets that sales works from, and keep them true as the product changes.
- Run launches: work out what a release means for customers, then ship the post, the page and the email on the same day.
- Bring back what you hear on calls and in lost deals, and turn it into clear input for the product team.
You might be a good fit if
- You have five or more years of product marketing in B2B software, including launches and messaging you owned.
- Sales material you made changed results, such as more wins, shorter cycles or larger deals, and you can say how you measured it.
- You write quickly and well, and you cut whatever doesn't help the reader decide.
- You can talk data with a GIS analyst and outcomes with an operations manager in the same afternoon. Experience with GIS, data or developer tools is a strong plus.
- You build routines rather than one-offs: a steady enablement rhythm, a competitor file that stays current, a messaging guide people actually open.
- You can get product, sales and support to agree on what to say.
To apply, email hello@gisowl.com with your resume, LinkedIn or GitHub profile, and one piece of product marketing you're proud of.

Senior Demand Generation Manager Build the system that brings the right teams to GISOwl, from the first ad or search result to a booked demo or a paid plan. You'll decide where the budget goes, run the campaigns and show what each one returned.
What you'll do
- Plan and run campaigns across search, LinkedIn and account-based programmes, aimed at GIS and data teams in the industries we serve.
- Turn what we already publish, from gallery maps and industry pages to Fieldnotes, into campaigns with the content and product team.
- Improve the website and the sign-up path with landing pages and A/B tests, from first visit to first map.
- Own the numbers: budget, forecast, pipeline targets, and the reports that show which channels pay back.
You might be a good fit if
- You have five or more years in demand generation or growth marketing at a fast-growing B2B software company.
- Campaigns you ran produced qualified pipeline and revenue, and you can show the numbers.
- You have run paid channels yourself, including LinkedIn Ads, Google Ads and account-based tools, and landing-page tests that moved conversion.
- You build your own reports in a CRM and a marketing automation tool, and trust them because you built them.
- You look for patterns in data and act on them, and budgets, forecasts and targets don't worry you.
- You start from what the customer needs, not from last year's playbook.
To apply, email hello@gisowl.com with your resume, LinkedIn or GitHub profile, and one campaign you'd point to, with its numbers.
