You'll see three access levels: **Private** — Only workspace members you explicitly invite can access the map. Default for new maps. **Anyone with the link** — Anyone who has the URL can access the map. Choose between view-only and edit access. **Public** — The map is discoverable in your workspace's public gallery and indexed by search engines. ## Inviting People In the share dialog, type an email address or select a workspace member. Assign a role: - **Viewer** — Can see the map and data but cannot make changes. - **Commenter** — Can view and leave comments but cannot edit. - **Editor** — Can edit data, styles, annotations, and settings. - **Owner** — Full control including sharing permissions and deletion. ## Link Settings For link-shared maps, you can optionally restrict access by: - Requiring a password - Setting an expiration date - Limiting to specific email domains ## Notifications Collaborators receive an email notification when invited. You can add an optional message to the invitation. ## Next Steps - [Commenting](/docs/sharing-and-collaboration/commenting) — Collaborate with comments. - [Embedding](/docs/sharing-and-collaboration/embedding) — Embed maps in websites. - [Permissions](/docs/administration/permissions) — Workspace-level permission model.
